New research suggests from  University of Cambridge shows that Empathetic people are made, not born.

The largest ever study into the genetic basis of empathy, suggests that just 10 per cent of the variation between people’s compassion and understanding is down to genes.

Other sources that support this statement is Helen Riess book ¨the empathy effect¨ with her experience ass the associate clinical professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and director of the Empathy and Relational Science Program at Massachusetts General Hospital you could tell she know what her talking about.

The conclusion is that the most of our behavior come from the way we are raised, but factors like environment and even world event can have an impact.
